New Year’s celebrations should be joyful, not dangerous. Champagne corks can cause serious eye injuries if they pop unexpectedly. When opening a bottle, keep it pointed away from faces, cover the cork with a towel, and twist slowly to stay in control. If an eye injury does occur, seek urgent care right away. Protecting your vision helps ensure the new year starts safely.

As we close out 2025, our team at Mississippi Retina Associates would like to thank our patients, staff, and community for another wonderful year of trust and support. Our offices will be closed on Wednesday, January 1 in observance of New Year’s Day. We look forward to continuing to provide the highest level of retinal care and research in 2026.
