On September 7, members of the Mississippi Retina Associates team and their families spent time volunteering with Stewpot Community Services in Jackson, Mississippi, supporting an organization that provides essential resources to individuals and families throughout the community.
The group volunteered in Stewpot’s Community Kitchen, helping support the preparation and service of meals for neighbors in need.
Serving Our Jackson Community
Stewpot Community Services has served the Jackson community for more than four decades, providing food, shelter, clothing and other forms of assistance to people in need. Its mission centers on providing compassionate support and meeting both immediate and ongoing needs throughout the community.
One of Stewpot’s cornerstone programs is its Community Kitchen, which provides a meal to anyone who needs one, no questions asked, seven days a week and 365 days a year. More than 100 people are served each day, with volunteers helping prepare and serve lunch.

For the Mississippi Retina Associates employees and family members who participated, the day provided an opportunity to give their time and work alongside an organization dedicated to helping people throughout the Jackson area.
